Course Instruction
Spa Body Treatments, taught by Kelli Lene, a spa and education consultant in the massage and spa industry, provides hands-on training on dry room body treatments. Students will learn how to incorporate these spa services into their practice to provide customizing treatments.
In the Clinical Sports Massage Techniques Workshop, Pete Pfannerstill, owner of UltraSports Massage Therapy, will provide the necessary training for massage therapists to add intense therapeutic and sports injury techniques to their service menu.
Under the guidance of instructor Angela Dubis, a certified Massage Therapist through the NCBTMB as well as a certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), participants in the two-part course on Posture and Pain Management will discuss posture, the mechanisms affecting posture, and compensations that occur as a result of muscle weakness/hypertonicity, emotional stress, injury and repetitive stress.
