Skin Deep the Body Spa is an expansive duplex spa with an upscale East-meets-West aesthetic. Upon entering the 7,800-square-foot feng shui-inspired facility, guests encounter a bright reception area/boutique with a vibrant green-and-orange color scheme. The serene, Asian-inspired treatment area features a calming, light shade of green offset by gold-plated adornments. Retractable walls between the treatment rooms enable the facility to accommodate a variety of couples’ (double) or triple treatments. Between treatments, spa-goers can relax in an upstairs tea room that seats eight.
The spa employs nearly 40 staff members, including a medical director and an affiliated physician who performs Botox®, Restylane, and Radiesse injections. Registered nurses administer skin-rejuvenating laser services, provided by the Cutera Laser, such as TITAN Skin Tightening and Genesis Facial to reduce acne, lines, and pore size; IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy for the treatment of hyperpigmentation, melasma and other skin conditions; and laser hair and vein removal.
A pair of certified therapists performs acupuncture and acussage on-site one day a week. A licensed colon hydrotherapist is available six days a week. Permanent cosmetics are applied by a highly trained technician.
The many corrective and preventive facials on the menu include the Collagen 90-11 Facial (named for its hour-and-a-half duration) and the Vitamin-Enriched Sea C Spa Facial for lightening the skin. Men’s and women’s facials can be enhanced with microdermabrasion or a host of chemical peels.
One of the spa’s unique offerings is the Zen Water Experience, which includes a progression of treatments meant to relieve stress and promote harmony with oneself and the environment. Guests are hydrated in the spa’s rain showers, slathered with mud, detoxified in a steam room, and immersed in a mineral bath.
