New Life Hiking Spa was founded in 1978 by fitness and nutritional expert Jimmy LeSage, M.S. Located in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont at the Inn of the Six Mountains, New Life offers a challenging hiking program for all fitness levels.

Hike along the famous Appalachian and Long trails as well as the varied terrain of picturesque Vermont. Afternoon fitness programs include water aerobics, weight training and body conditioning, Pilates, kickboxing, mountain golfing and two daily yoga classes. Spa services include facials and therapeutic treatments as well as relaxing massage, hot stone therapy, polarity and reflexology. Educational and fun evening lectures and workshops are offered daily on a variety of topics. Skin Deep – The Body Spa

Skin Deep the Body Spa is an expansive duplex spa with an upscale East-meets-West aesthetic. Upon entering the 7,800-square-foot feng shui-inspired facility, guests encounter a bright reception area/boutique with a vibrant green-and-orange color scheme. The serene, Asian-inspired treatment area features a calming, light shade of green offset by gold-plated adornments. Retractable walls between the treatment rooms enable the facility to accommodate a variety of couples’ (double) or triple treatments. Between treatments, spa-goers can relax in an upstairs tea room that seats eight.

The spa employs nearly 40 staff members, including a medical director and an affiliated physician who performs Botox®, Restylane, and Radiesse injections. Registered nurses administer skin-rejuvenating laser services, provided by the Cutera Laser, such as TITAN Skin Tightening and Genesis Facial to reduce acne, lines, and pore size; IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy for the treatment of hyperpigmentation, melasma and other skin conditions; and laser hair and vein removal.

A pair of certified therapists performs acupuncture and acussage on-site one day a week. A licensed colon hydrotherapist is available six days a week. Permanent cosmetics are applied by a highly trained technician.

The many corrective and preventive facials on the menu include the Collagen 90-11 Facial (named for its hour-and-a-half duration) and the Vitamin-Enriched Sea C Spa Facial for lightening the skin. Men’s and women’s facials can be enhanced with microdermabrasion or a host of chemical peels.

One of the spa’s unique offerings is the Zen Water Experience, which includes a progression of treatments meant to relieve stress and promote harmony with oneself and the environment. Guests are hydrated in the spa’s rain showers, slathered with mud, detoxified in a steam room, and immersed in a mineral bath.

FACILITIES

Our full-service destination Spa offers 14,000 square feet of facilities for treatments and relaxation. There are separate men’s and women’s changing areas with private lockers, whirlpool, wet steam and dry sauna rooms, and Swiss showers with 14 shower heads. The Vichy Shower is a “rain bar” that provides a gentle cascade of water used as a complement to any of our body treatments. We also offer a deluxe spa suite with private outdoor whirlpool tub, steam showers and a treatment room built for two.

Continue this special Spa experience at home with the Signature Orange products used in our treatments. Our Spa Boutique features signature blended aromatherapy products, professional skin and body care, plush robes, candles and unique gifts.

Dana Douglas received her certification from Mt. Nittany Institute of Natural Health in December of 2000 where she acquired skills in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage and Shiatsu. Lorraine Zabitz is a licensed esthetician and a certified massage therapist.  She completed her course of study and training in the esthetician program at Altoona Beauty School in 2007.  She focused on custom, european and paraffin facials as well as make-up application, body waxing and lash tinting.  She is also a graduate of Mt. Viet Henry Nguyen

Viet Henry Nguyen (pronounced “Win”) received his nail diploma from the Academy of Health and Beauty with skills in manicures, pedicures, and artificial nails. He has been perfecting this art for the past seven years. In 2006, Henry graduated from the Mount Nittany Institute of Natural Health where he acquired skills in Deep Fascial Release, Swedish Massage, Shiatsu, and Neuromuscular Therapy. He has continued his massage education by taking courses in Thai Massage and Positional Therapy. He is a graduate of Penn State University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. Sean Holt

Sean Holt recently moved to Pennsylvania from the mountains of Colorado with his wife and two year old. In 2002, he graduated from Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado’s rigorous 1000-hour program. He began his practice at a local spa introducing new spa client’s to the benefits of massage therapy. Sean also developed a private practice specializing in injury prevention and muscle pain relief using a wide variety of modalities including: Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Motion Palpation, and Joint Range of Motion. Kim DeVine

Kim DeVine is a certified massage therapist, a member of the International Massage Association and Yoga Teacher with over twelve years experience. Her main training was an intensive mentorship program focusing on Swedish Massage. She furthered her education by becoming certified in Reflexology, Massage for Cancer Patients, Reiki and Cizin I’Raku, an ancient Mayan way of healing.
