13 San Diego Area Day Spas Partner with Destinations Medical Spa
Thirteen local day spas have joined forces with Destinations Medical Spa (DMS), Southern California’s first and only doctor-managed mobile cosmetic care service that provides the latest in laser, Botox®, injectables and other spa treatments, to offer a la carte treatments to their clientele.
“From the traditional day spa client’s perspective, it gives them easy access to a host of cosmetic skin care treatments that are normally rendered in a doctor’s office,” explains Dr. Donna Richardson, DMS
rector. “For the day spa owner, it’s an easy, no-cost opportunity to add a profit center to their business since they know that many of their clients are going elsewhere to get these treatments.”

Destinations Medical Spa was founded in early 2007 by Richardson. Previously, Richardson served as a Southern California Kaiser Permanente physician for more than 30 years and is a Certified Associate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a member of the Botox Cosmetic Physicians’ Network. DMS brings everything to the day spa: all medical devices and instruments, laser treatment equipment, medication, safety devices, medical personnel and applicable insurance coverage.
All procedures are competitively priced and each day spa partner receives a percentage of the service fees. There is no out-of-pocket cost for the partner day spa. “This is a win-win situation for the day spa client and owner alike,” says Richardson. All of DMS services are completely hygienic and delivered by a skilled and licensed medical staff.
The only cosmetic spa services DMS cannot offer are ablative procedures or treatments that require anesthesia.
