In early 2008, the construction of the new spa and accommodations tower on the south side of the property was creating dust and disturbances that can be annoying for those booked into a nearby unit.
Two revamped pools and whirlpools are supplemented by the beach. With the exception of a few offshore rocks, the hotel’s beautiful semiprivate strand offers an exceptional expanse of sand. Guests also have access to a fitness center, but by January 2009 the vast new 40,000-sq-ft spa should up and running. The three tennis courts are well used. Cabanas near the pool and beach are equipped with phones.
