How do I get the e-mail addresses out of my point of sale (POS) software database?
Most spa software includes a database that provides you an entry field for customer e-mail addresses. In addition, the software also allows you to export your contacts. Once exported, you then just e-mail the exported file to us.
Collecting a customer e-mail database from your POS software:
In order to establish an e-mailing database of your customers we start with your own POS (point-of-sale) software. Your reception or calling desk should be collecting e-mail addresses at the first point of contact when you book the guests first appointment. If you have not done this, then you may want to start to update the guest’s profiles as they book future appointments. Another way to update your guests profiles is to have an in store promotional give away; make sure the contest form asks for their email address. Upon receipt of the email address from you we import the file into a personal e-mailing database specifically for your spa and place it unto our secure bulk e-mail server. It is from this list that we can now bulk e-mail potentially thousands of your clients at once! Periodically you will need to send us any new clients email address to keep your data base updated. Your clients may choose to opt out from this email at anytime.
Can't I just e-mail the customers myself through my own address book?
Most ISP's only allow just 20-30 e-mails to be sent through your e-mail account at a time, which can be a hassle and time consuming process. We bypass these limits by running our own bulk e-mail server. In addition, Spavelous will make your e-newsletter and e-marketing promotion graphically more appealing. To pay another company to do this, normally would cost sevral hundred dollars for each e-mailing. With Spavelous, this is all included in your annual fee.
