Spataneous wants to help find a cure for cancer.

So from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, workers at the day spa,205 Collinsville Road in Collinsville, are rolling up their sleeves to do manicures, pedicures and facials.

Owners Jerry Simon and Tonia Cohn hope a huge crowd will come out and support the cause.

“We’re very serious about doing our part to help raise money to find a cure for cancer,” Simon said. “Our

workers are willing to work free. We certainly hope that the community will come out and make lots of

donations. One hundred percent of the money we collect will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast

Cancer fund.”

Simon said he and Cohn have owned the day spa for two years, and they want to give something back to the

community.

“Every year, we participate in the big Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk in St. Louis. But, we decided we want to do a little more,” Cohn said.

French manicures will be done in pink.

“And lots of other good prizes can be won,” Cohn said.

“We have some Rams football tickets and we’re having a bake sale. We have some donations from Party

Lites, and a woman who sells Mary Kay products will be doing facials,” Cohn said.
